Today Marks the First Day of Spring 2014
Get Your Newburgh House Ready for Spring
The birds are chirping as the snow continues to melt in Newburgh NY. The VERY long hard winter this year is finally coming to an end. Punxsutawney Phil, was absolutely right when he said six more weeks of winter were in store for much of the country!! March has been quite cold making winter seem to drag on forever. Temperatures remain on the cooler side but it is inevitable that warm weather will eventually find its way to my backyard. The days are getting longer and summer rapidly follows. I can’t wait!!
Mother Nature does appear to be a bit behind schedule though. The birds are out, but the flowers are not. No buds on the trees yet either. The photo of this Crocus is from two years ago. None in site today, but soon they will find their way to begin the cycle again. We only need a few warm days to wake up the earth and start the process. I look forward to the flowers, the leaves on the trees and nice warm air. Newburgh is sure to see new activity of all kinds. There are local festivals and art shows, or an afternoon in the park. For those looking to list their Newburgh NY homes for sale, spring is a great time to list and sell! Getting it all cleaned up from outside in makes selling a home so much easier.
Spring brings outdoor activity. It seems that once the warmer weather and longer days are here the neighbors spend more time outside. Smart homeowners begin the process of seasonal maintenance early on. You don’t need to be selling your home to work outside. All homeowners have repairs that should be looked at come spring. Taking care of the annual maintenance needed. could include painting a deck or sprucing up flower gardens. Homeowners will be out in full force on that first beautiful weekend of the season. Getting things out of the way gives time to enjoy the summer carefree. It is time to get ready to begin a garden and get ready for some nice warm weather. Happy Spring 2014!!
