Live in the Hudson Valley – Play in Central Park
Many people love New York City. Seems that good jobs and the fact that there are so many things to do and experience, it is a great place to live. Problem with NYC is that the expense of living there is a bit more than crazy! The size and cost of an apartment is quite astronomical. While the lifestyle can be sweet, the expense enormous. Finding an affordable apartment in a good location that is big enough is almost impossible.
Orange County NY has a solution for many new home buyers. Homes in Orange County are more affordable. For the same payment of renting an apartment, you can become a homeowner. New construction homes can begin as low as $239K for an 1800 square foot three bedroom home. Now those are pretty amazing numbers!
A great convenience of living in my town is access to New York City and Grand Central Station. I live in the heart of the Town of Newburgh NY and when I want to go, NYC is one seat ride to Grand Central Station on Metro North. The train puts me in the right in the center of Manhattan. Since I live so close I make it a point to visit for all sorts of activities that we don’t have up north.
My most recent adventure to NYC was a visit to Central Park. The iconic New York City skyline has been photographed a zillion times, and painted too many times to count. This was my chance to capture the scene with a photo. I had lunch by the park at an Italian restaurant, (along with a celebrity sighting – Tony Bennett was there) and a walk in the park. I was there for a photography class with Discover Outdoors. I learned more about my camera and few new techniques. Best of all I enjoyed city life for an afternoon.
So while you may feel that you are giving up the city for a new lifestyle, access to all the great places and things to do are close enough to visit. NYC is an easy train ride away. If you are looking to move north to Newburgh, I can help. I would be glad to find a home that works for your budget. The Hudson Valley: a train ride away and a place to call home. I can be found by phone or email.
